Which options is it that you have in mind to specify a toolchain?

In fact, it seems it's the _alias variants of variables which is used to
find the toolchain. See the line I mentionned yesterday:

test -n "$host_alias" && ac_tool_prefix=$host_alias-

and which has been generated.
