How about running "aclocal -I m4" to generate your aclocal.m4 from
the files in m4? (I also thought that acinclude.m4 might be a better
place for putting your own macros, as it doesn't get overwritten
by things like aclocal.) (..or just add
to the end of aclocal.m4)
