Not a problem. The bug-autoconf and autoconf-patches lists are meant
primarily for problems directly related to the autoconf package, but the
autoconf list is for discussions about using autoconf, including, as in
this thread, how to make third party macros conform to the autoconf
philosophy. To me, I see no problem in continuing the thread here.
