I have installed GNU m4 1.4.1. Looks like the issue is related to my
autoconf2.59. I just downloaded the source code and build it. Now I am
still running "make check" on it. After that I'll install it and give it
a try.

I'm not certain that they have GNU m4 installed.  They may be using the 
system m4.

Thanks for trying this.  I'm glad my package isn't doing anything 
grossly wrong.

I'll have him try that.  I take it that program works like strace on
Linux?
