Make sure to clean up BUGS. I understand that the problems described there
have been addressed.
Don't forget that "autoconf -Wall" doesn't warn about deprecated use of
AC_OUTPUT, which must be a bug.
You may want to document somewhere that the testsuite is extremely slow on
Korn shell clones.
Apart from that, I see reasons to delay 2.49d.
