[AUCTeX] German quotes issue

Hi list,
In French, quotes are like « that » but in german they are like „this"
or like »that«. I use both of the german quotes and I have a problem
with the second one. Look at this sentence :

Im Bundesgesetztblatt vom 16. Mai 2001 steht, dass „die »elektronische
Signaturen« Daten [...] die zur Authentifizierung dienen".

Damit ist es klar, dass...

Auctex think that the quote « is an opening quote, like in french, and
the rest of the text (the second sentence eg) is in green. How can I
configure Auctex, to set » as an opening quote, and « as a closing one
?

PS: In case the quotes are badly displayed in your email client: the
problematic quotes look like << and >>.
