Matthias, I don't know which one you found using rpmseek but SUSE 9.2
includes the latest Emacs release even in the ftp version (check the
update directory: update/9.2/rpm/i586/emacs-21.3-*.rpm).
With this version of Emacs, you can use the current AUCTeX 11.82 RPM
(follow the links from the AUCTeX home page).
