Hi Gordon,

This is a dream becoming true! ;) I have been maintaining the Debian
i386 packages because there was no better solution yet. Someone else
contributed Debian alpha packages, and so far we maintained our own apt
entry at http://savannah.gnu.org/download/adonthell/debian. But I am not
a Debian developer myself (I'd really love to apply, but I fear I'll
lack the time and won't be able to be very efficient), and I don't know
the deb system as well as I should to produce good packages - therefore
they are probably a bit clumsy (not to mention the dirty way I've built
the apt tree - I really shouldn't be allowed to live for that! ;)).

Being a part of the most popular distribution is what every free
software developer wish for his programs. So we'd be very, very happy if
you open us the gates of Debian. Obviously, in these conditions I'd be
glad to hang over the Debian packaging to you! And as we don't release
that often, this shouldn't be much work! ;)

Maybe you can have a look at the existing packages to get an idea of how
the game is built. Basically the engine (adonthell) is architecture
dependent, while the game (wastesedge) is the same package for all the
architectures.

I've CCed this mail to the Adonthell Developers list, as they'll
probably be happy to learn this. Adonthell in SID soon? That'd rock! ;)

Thanks for your interest anyway - I'm available if you need to know
anything about the game or the packages I've made. And thank you so much
in the name of all the developers for the chance you are giving us!

Alex.
