Thanks, to all who responded.My cover sheet problem does not seem to be a2ps's fault. I can turn off the cover sheet when using lpr with "lpr -h". I can't seem to find a printcap setting that will do the job - the cover sheet persists independent of the "sh" value. At any rate, that's what I'm trying to figure out now.
