Hello Richard,

maybe this isn't clear enough but the defaults have nothing to do with
the option menus. They will be only used as soon as you use 'ctrl+k' or
'Edit->Click All' from the menu.

Defaults will also override any frequencies retrieved from the rig
connected to your PC.
