[GNU-traductores] Terminología: «Sucker»

Hola nuevo:

RMS me ha enviado otro mensaje (ver abajo) para preguntar cuál sería una
buena traducción de "sucker", término que aparece en dos artículos del sitio:

Aquí se ha traducido como "imbécil"

Este todavía no lo hemos traducido.

Yo pienso que "incauto", "crédulo" e "ingenuo" son términos que traducen
bien el concepto y que se entienden seguramente en todo el mundo
hispanohablante, pero a diferencia de "sucker", son formales.

"Sucker" tiene un matiz levemente ofensivo, pero sin llegar al insulto.
"Imbécil" creo yo que es insultante. Se me ocurre que "papanatas" podría
funcionar.

¿Qué opinan los demás?

Is there a word for "sucker" that will work in all Spanish-speaking
countries?

"Sucker" is mildly insulting, but not so insulting that a person could
attack you just for using the word.  I would like the translation to
have that same feeling.
