+href="/gnu/gnu-history.html">Projekti GNU</a>.</p>
+
+<p>
+operativ. Linux-i përdoret normalisht i ndërthurur me sistemin operativ
Përdorimi i
+përdorues shpesh mendojnë se Linus Torvalds-i zhvilloi krejt sistemin
+operativ më 1991, me pakëz ndihmë.</p>
+
+<p>
+përfundoi së shkruajturi Linux-in, kernelin, përdoruesit e tij hodhën sytë
+
+<p>
+Çka gjetën nuk qe rastësi&mdash;qe sistemi jo-dhe-aq-i-plotësuar GNU. <a
+href="/philosophy/free-sw.html"><em>Software</em>-i i lirë</a> i passhëm i
Me <a href="/gnu/manifesto.html"> Manifestin e
+ngjashëm me Unix-in, të quajtur GNU. <a
+href="/gnu/initial-announcement.html">Njoftimi Fillestar</a> mbi Projektin
Torvalds-i
+
+<p>
+Linux&rdquo;, <a
+href="/philosophy/categories.html#GNUsoftware"><em>software</em>-i GNU</a>
<em>software</em>-i
+specifik.
+përpiluesi</a>, edhe pse e bëmë dhe këtë.
<em>software</em>-in e
+<em>software</em>-in e tyre.
Shkruam
+përbërësit thelbësorë, por ama joeksitues <a href="#unexciting">(1)</a>
+href="#nottools">(2)</a>. Hartuam madje edhe një lojë shahu, Shah GNU,
+ngaqë një sistem i plotë lyp lojëra po ashtu.</p>
+
+<p>
+Në fillimet e viteve '90 e bëmë tok krejt sistemin, hiq kernelin. E kishim
+filluar dhe kernelin, <a href="/software/hurd/hurd.html">GNU Hurd</a>, i
+cili xhiron përsipër Mach-ut. Zhvillimi i këtij kerneli doli shumë më i
+vështirë se sa mendonim; <a
+href="/software/hurd/hurd/documentation/hurd-and-linux.html">GNU Hurd zuri
+
+<p>
+Për fat të mirë, nuk na u desh të prisnim për Hurd-in, falë Linux-it.
Pasi
+Torvalds kish shkruajtur Linux-in, ky zinte vendin e fundit bosh te sistemi
+GNU. Pas kësaj njerëzit mund <a
+href="http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/Historic/old-versions/RELNOTES-0.01";>
Disa
përbërësa
+GNU<a href="#somecomponents">(3)</a> lypnin ndryshime thelbësore që të mund
+të punonin me Linux-in.
+sistemit kryen shumë punë me rëndësi.
+
+<p>
+Projekti GNU mbështet si sistemet GNU/Linux, ashtu edhe sistemet
+<em>the</em> GNU system. <a href="http://fsf.org/";>FSF</a> financoi
+href="/distros/">shpërndarje GNU/Linux krejtësisht të lira</a>. FSF-ja
+mbulon infrastrukturë kompjuterike për dy prej tyre, <a
+href="http://ututo.org";>Ututo</a> dhe <a
+href="http://gnewsense.org/";>gNewSense</a>.</p>
+
heqjeje
+programesh të ndryshëm jo të lirë. Sot, edhe versioni i zakonshëm i
+Linux-it përmban programe jo të lira.
+lira GNU/Linux tani nënkupton po aq pasjen e <a
+href="http://directory.fsf.org/project/linux";>një versioni të lirë të
+Linux-it</a>.</p>
+
+<p>E përdorni a jo GNU/Linux-in, ju lutem, mos e ngatërroni publikun duke
+mëtejshme, kjo faqe dhe <a href="/gnu/the-gnu-project.html">
+mëtejshme, <a href="http://foldoc.doc.ic.ac.uk/foldoc/foldoc.cgi?Linux";>
+http://foldoc.doc.ic.ac.uk/foldoc/foldoc.cgi?Linux</a> është një URL e mirë
+për ta përdorur.</p>
+
+<p>
+ekzistojnë sot<a href="#newersystems">(4)</a> janë pothuaj me siguri ose
+GNU/Linux-i.
+njëmendtë.<a href="#gnubsd">(5)</a></p>

+<li>
+<a id="gnubsd"></a>Nga ana tjetër, gjatë viteve që prej kur ky artikull u
