законодателство, при което по
+исторически причини е публикувана 
голямата част от свободните софтуерни
+програми, съществуват много съществени 
процедурни преимущества за
+регистрация на авторско право.  Въпреки 
широките права на разпространение,
+които предоставя Общият публичен лиценз 
(GPL), разпространителите на
+софтуера, като цяло, не са в правото си да 
изискват прилагането на лиценза:
+в такава позиция са само носителят на 
авторските права или някой, на когото
+те са прехвърлени.  Ако една защитена с 
авторски права творба има множество
+автори, успешното правоприлагане зависи 
от сътрудничеството между всички
