Well, it's been awhile, but I finished my move and had some time to
finish up this project. Hopefully it can still be of use.
I have an LXR setup and a "staticizer" script which can turn a dynamic
website into a static one by spidering the site and rewriting the links
and filenames to allow for easy static browsing. The resulting files do
not need special mime type directives either, so it should be easy to
mirror the resulting files.
Unfortunately, the new version of LXR makes use of either MySQL or
Postgres. Are either of these available on the Gnu machine which this
was destined for long ago?
If this is still useful, what are the next steps?
