Just a short follow-up.
Having found out last night why vileget wouldn't work I just came back
this evening to actually use it - and couldn't remember how to load
Vileserv. Nothing in the documentation helped at all, I finally
remembered where I had seen what to do, in the actual Vileserv.pm
source.
So, now I can do what I want! :-)
However I think it might be a good idea to have something in the vile
help file that tells you how to run a perl add-on script.
As a slightly more general question - is there a way of finding out
what commands are available at the : prompt?
describe-bindings is where I usually look.
tab-completion shows a list of names - though some such as "perl" have
their own syntax.
For perl, doc/perl.doc tells how to make a copy of the api document,
and that seems to work...
