Any ideas how to implement this TODO item?

Suppose that a paragraph, for example

<p>The GNU Project was launched in 1984 to develop a complete
Unix-like operating system which
is <a href="/philosophy/free-sw.html">free software</a>: the GNU
system.</p>

is changed to

<p>The GNU Project was started in 1985 to develop a complete
Unix-like operating system which
is <a href="/philosophy/free-sw.html">free software</a>: the GNU
operating system.</p>

If `--previous' is passed to msgmerge, the POT/PO will look like:

#, fuzzy
#| msgid ""
#| "The GNU Project was launched in 1984 to develop a complete Unix-like "
#| "operating system which is <a href=\"/philosophy/free-sw.html\">free "
#| "software</a>: the GNU system."
msgid ""
"The GNU Project was started in 1985 to develop a complete Unix-like "
"operating system which is <a href=\"/philosophy/free-sw.html\">free "
"software</a>: the GNU operating system."
msgstr ""
"Проектът GNU е основан през 1984 г. за да се разработи пълноценна "
"операционна система, подобна на „Юникс“ (Unix), която е <a href=\"philosophy/"
"free-sw.bg.html\">свободен софтуер</a>: системата GNU."

While helpful in this example, it would be a nuisance for long
paragraphs, where typically it is very hard to identify the changes.
If we involve wdiff on the previous msgid and new msgid, it becomes
bearable:

#, fuzzy
#| msgid ""
#| "The GNU Project was [-launched-] {+started+} in [-1984-] {+1985+}
#| "to develop a complete Unix-like operating system which is "
#| "<a href=\"/philosophy/free-sw.html\">free software</a>: the "
#| "GNU {+operating+} system."

Of course, we have to think how to wrap it (I just did it manually for
this example), since long lines will not be an improvement.

The good thing about --previous is that it will still show the *last*
msgid which was translated, so it is very nice when a particular
paragraph changes 2 or more times before the translator manages to
update the translation.

WDYT?
