HI tlfers,

I am just curious if tlf can support the FOC Marathon (an unusual contest open for FOC Members only)

Rules------------------------------------------------------

*1 QSO = 1 point, regardless of DX or local
exception G4FOC (GW4FOC, GU4FOC etc. which counts twice)

*no multipliers

*a new DXCC = 2 additional bonus points (regardless of the band)

*a new continent = 5 additional bonus points (regardless of the band i.e.max. 30)

*the same station worked on 5 bands = 10 additional bonus points

*the same station worked on 6 bands = 15 additional bonus points
(i.e. the sixth band means + 5 bonus points)
...
Examples:
G3SXW on 5 bands = 5 QSO points + 10 bonus points = 15 points total
G3SXW on 6 bands = 6 QSO points + 15 bonus points = 21 points total
G4FOC on 5 bands = 10 QSO points + 20 bonus points = 30 points total
G4FOC on 6 bands = 12 QSO points + 30 bonus points = 42 points total
...
*categories: unlimited, restricted (always single op, there is no multiop
category)

*SO2R allowed
*exchange = RST + membership number
---------------------------------------------------------------
This new option should enable a quite wide range of club contests (HSC
contest, DIG QSO Party etc.).

It seems that such option is a peanut but it would pull up the TLF above CT by K1EA ... at least.

FOC Marathon runs this year from January 31, 21:00 UTC till February 2. 21:00 UTC. The main problem seems the scoring, a great advantage would be the usual online overview (QSOs, DXCC countries, continents, 5banders, 6banders) as well as the country list with color marked worked ones. The number of FOC Members is limited to 500 worldwide, they are spreaded over ~50 countries (+ some mini expeditions for this event are usual), therefore is quite easy to compile a list of countries which can be expected to work.

If someone is willing to help it would be nice to make a battle test this year. I know some 15-20 members highly interested for a contesting program like tlf.

73,
Martin, OK1RR
(FOC #1437 since 1981)
