Hi Dave, welcome to the list.

It is not yet possible to import .adif into tlf. Normally the  other way
around is practised (export .adif). 
A lot of people use e.g. Xlog or Klog to handle qsl'ing etc... Actually
I use Xlog and glables for QSO database and printing QSL labels. 

Any volunteers to add this function to tlf?
