I think it goes wrong here:

char inputbuffer[160];
FILE *fp;


        while(!feof(fp)){

                fgets (inputbuffer, 120,  fp);

                if (inputbuffer[0] != '#') {         /* comments */
                        parse_logcfg(inputbuffer);


                }
        }
fgets should limit the nr. of chars to 120, but apparently it doesn't.
