he is probably afraid of us discussing not so important issues like
garbage collection and relative schemes performances.

And somebody willing to dig into TeXmacs internal typesetting has a good
karma in my humble optinion. :)


Maybe, to facilitate the project, it would be useful to define a
prioritized todo list, from short term to more longer term
things. Compared to the current plan document[1] it would provide an
orthogonal point of view, considering programming issues, facility to
implement things (the easier the sooner).

For example, I would propose:

 1. fix memory leaks;

 2. having a better user feedback;

 3. investigate startup time to diagnosticate how this startup time
    could be improved;

 4. ...

 n. garbage collection;

   ...

 n^n: reimplementing texmacs in OCaml;

   ...

 n^n^n: reimplementing texmacs in Mathemagix. ;)


This todo list would regularly evolved according to TeXmacs users and
developers interest.
