[Texmacs-dev] Ghost cursor

I have read the manual "Boxes produced by the typesetter" and I really cannot 
see what is meant by a \delta in the cursor position.  I also do not 
understnand the ghost cursor issue.  Going thru edit_cursor.cpp does not seem 
to help.

Can someone "draw me a picture" as to what a delta is and what a ghost cursor 
is?
