All,

Thank you for your excellent work on synaptic, it makes
life so much easier for us mortals.

I do have one suggestion to make life even easier :-)

When there are items in 'sources.list' that does not
exist, synaptic displays several messageboxes.

This is annoying to say the least. Even if the annoyance
is there to force the user to get rid of the reason for
the warnings, it need not be that annoying --plus, synaptic
does work irrespective of whether those warnings have been
addressed or not.

So, what I asking is this:

Could it not display one single messagebox for all that
stuff.

I do realize that if there are too many of these, the
messagebox can get too big for the user to see the OK
button.

As a measure against this, could you not display a simple
messagebox saying

"Errors were found.
Please look at XXXXXX"

where XXXXXX could be a window displayed by a sub-menu item
under somemenu (Package?) and it could look like the
'Repositories' windows that gets displayed by
'Settings' --> Repositories.

And, maybe later some adds some functionality to it
that helps the user get rid of the reasons of those
warnings.

Cheers,
Ray
