Have you tried it yourself? What happens when you do?
> (2) Does "multiply" affect the dimension of the swf that is output?
Have you tried..
pdf2swf -s multiply=<Integer> yourfile.pdf -o yourfile.swf
swfdeump [-X -Y] yourfile.swf
