1) It looks like you don't have a full Cygwin installation and you're
missing the gcc compiler package from Cygwin.  Make sure you have all
the development tools installed, see www.cygwin.com for more details.

2) Make sure you download the new development snapshots (ftp location
is listed in the FAQ), and read this FAQ very carefully and follow the
instructions as precisely as possible:
