[Swarm-Support] undefined reference to `swarm_lookup_module'

hi

while building i get "undefined reference to `swarm_lookup_module'"
error in "/home/artm/projects/alife/swarm/swarm/tools" directory. in ML
archives this problem is mentioned but i couldn't find the solution. may
be somebody remembers what (s)he had to do to make it disappear?

i've got:

sun-jdk-1.4.1.01
gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1, propolice)
GNU Emacs 21.3.1
GNU gperf 2.7.2

(i've got the feeling from emails that these are relevant tools)
