Swarm to C anyone

Dear all,

I was wondering whether anyone pondered the idea, attempted to or indeed
converted a Swarm app to plain C with the intention of ||izing the program
and running it on a CRAY? 

If anyone did, how long did it take, what were the problems, etc.? 

On a similar note, anyone converted to Java?
