Thanks for the hints! I commented out 'space' from test/Makefile.in
SUBDIRS and 'make check' passed those tests. But it broke up in a
later step (error messages below, just for your reference).

Anyway, I guess for the time being I can ignore the errors pointed by
'make check' (right?).
