Strange, if libpng wasn't installed *before* you attempted the
installation of the Swarm rpm, it should have failed, since libpng is
listed as a dependency for that package to install.

This suggests to me something fishy with your installation.  What
happens you run:

$ rpm -q libpng swarm zlib blt tcl tk egcs egcs-objc

You might also check the file permissions (and existence) of the
appropriate libpng files.  Try:

$ cd /usr/lib
$ ls -l libpng.*

What do you get?
