set parameters

Hi,

I am having some problems with setting paramters before a simulation run
starts. I may change a value, it remains in the parameter window but it is
not set in the program.
Parameter entry does not work in the supplied applications either. But here
the original parameters are restored in the parameter display when the
simulation starts.
Any idea what is going wrong? I could not yet figure out what is happening.
