The technical work that the Swarm project has done in the last year or
two is mostly about making Swarm more accessible to users, e.g. a
systematic documentation system for reference information, support for
Windows and support for Java. While I don't regret hiring a
programmer last year, it's a pity we couldn't move faster to form the
SDG, and then do so under the auspices of the SDG. But modulo that
issue (keeping in mind our small resources), there is no bias on my
part or the SDG's part in the direction of flexibility over
accessibility (other than to avoid gimmicky dead-end development).

To create a Swarm-based prototyping app better than, say, StarLogo or
Stella is a large, expensive undertaking. Bit by bit, we are working on
it, though.

This list, address@hidden, is a good place to raise the
kinds of questions you describe.

The SDG membership structure (http://www.swarm.org/membership.html),
doesn't yet have specific support categories, but if you have
particular need please e-mail address@hidden Also check-out the
programmer yellow pages on the SDG web site.
