Yes. In fact Manual Giraud helped me via private mail to find out
this same thing.
Funny thing, which I still don't understand is the following:
I had debian package with the old stumpwm on the system, but have
compiled the correct new git version. I've put this new version
in my ~/local/bin and have, explicitely, in my .xsession file,
full path to this ~/local/bin/stumpwm. Still, somehow
the debian stumpwm was run. Only when I purged this debian
package from the system new git version started to be active.
So now evertyhing is fine and resizing works!
