Hi,

Sorry for the broken links, I've changed my server since then and
anyway all the code has been merged upstream for a while now as Ben
pointed out.

I don't know how you can achieve exactly what you want (monitor
keyboard input) with CLX, however the unclutter[1] application comes
to mind, even if I don't think it does exactly what you're looking
for. Maybe you could see how it works and modify it (or rewrite it in
lisp if you have the courage :) to suit your needs.

Do let us know if you find a way to do what you want, I for one could
use that!

[1] http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/unclutter (the link to the
    source is in the right panel).
