I was planning on writing a Fibonacci/Golden ratio plugin for contrib. I'd be delighted to talk about means and methods in #stumpwm. My nick is "goner".

I'm thinking using define-frame-preference and maybe setting some flag to enable some form of automatic tiling. If there are no empty frames, one is made according to the desired formula and the application is loaded into the new frame. If all the frames are filled, then it loads in the currently selected frame (or starts over at the largest section).

While undocumented, the API is there for you or anyone to implement
it. So far there are no takers.
