I've been trying to track down this bug for a while now. Can you add:

(setf stumpwm:*debug-level* 10)

and get it to crash? That'll spew a whole bunch of debug output and
hopefully will give me an idea of how it's messing up. Meanwhile I'll
try to reproduce it here.

Also, you're running the latest CVS, right?
