I use both with postfix (also SPF-milter).
Is there a particular order that's better?
That depends on policy. But I run clamav-milter first. And SPF
before that. I also do my DNSbl blocking up front (instead of through
SA). That is, I try to run the light-weight [fm]ilters first and run
a "block early, block often" policy. But sites' needs will vary. If
you have lots of different users who don't want so many things
rejected at SMTP time, you shouldn't follow my practice.
Also, is there anything that's supposed to change in the mc file if
I use them together?
There's nothing that I can think of from the last time I used
sendmail. It really is straight forward. If you want to have some
policies that depend on any kind of combining the results of these
(and other milter-like processes) you may wish to consider using
mimedefang as your only milter and than have mimedefang call SA and
clamav. But for most straight-forward policies running them in
sequence makes the most sense, with a preference for running the
lighter weight ones earlier.
