Hey there Tiago,

This is happening to me as well and sounds like it might be a bug.  What OS are you using?  I've upgraded my sks box to squeeze.

$ grep '^\(hkp\|recon_\)' /etc/sks/sksconf
recon_address: 172.16.9.29 2001:470:a:233:9::29
hkp_address: 172.16.9.29 2001:470:a:233:9::29

I'm able to verify the ipv6 address with ping6 and ssh.
Javier recently told me that he was able to access the web interface, but I have no reports of hkp requests via gpg completing successfully.

If I find some free tuits (not likely in the near future), I can look at the source a bit and see if I can figure it out.

Cheers,

C.J.

Hi list,

I'm having a hard time trying to understand why SKS daemons don't start
after I enter my IPv6 addresses on the configuration file.

As described on the documentation, I'm using:

# Set recon binding address
recon_address: 94.46.216.2 2001:0b18:0500:0002:0000:0000:0000:0002

# Set recon port number
recon_port: 11370

# Set hkp binding address
hkp_address: 94.46.216.2 2001:0b18:0500:0002:0000:0000:0000:0002

The machine has native IPv6 connectivity:

$ ping6 sks.5coluna.com
PING sks.5coluna.com(2001:b18:500:2::2) 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 2001:b18:500:2::2: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=7.79 ms
64 bytes from 2001:b18:500:2::2: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=2.62 ms
64 bytes from 2001:b18:500:2::2: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.322 ms
^C
--- sks.5coluna.com ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 2009ms

Any tips on why this might be happening? The logs don't show any kind
of error, so I'm clueless on what to do.

IPv6 on both ports (11370 and 11371) has been allowed on the firewall.

Thank you all in advance for any help!

Have a good weekend,
Tiago
