I had the same issue. Looks like the BerkeleyDB you're using may have been enabled with the posix. SKS prefers x86/gcc-assembly or on a Mac OSX power-pcc/gcc-assembly when you build BerkeleyDB. Made those changes and viola! Works like a charm.
