Follow-up Comment #1:
Hello Marco,
Thank you for submitting a new project to host on GNU Savannah.
To host a project on GNU Savannah, it must comply with the hosting
requirements:
http://savannah.gnu.org/register/requirements.php
http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/HowToGetYourProjectApprovedQuickly/
The most critical issue with Vicare (in regards to hosting on GNU Savannah) is
that it is based on Ikarus-Scheme, which is licensed as "GPLv3", but not
"GPLv3 or later".
Compatibility with future GPL versions is a requirement for hosting a project
on GNU Savannah.
It is possible I missed the mention on "GPLv3 or later" in Ikarus; If that is
the case,
simply point to any reference of "GPLv3 or later" in a README or in the source
code files of Ikarus, and this will be resolved.
But otherwise, using any code from "Ikarus" will conflict with licensing it as
"GPLv3 or later".
Additionally, there are mentions of other libraries/modules/dependencies (e.g.
irregex, pregexp, pysyntax, ypsilon and others) - please list all dependencies
and their license information.
Regards,
- Assaf
