Sharper is a library for storing multidimensional multiresolution raster data
in hierarchical filesystems.

Sharper can be used to work with big data sets which need to be stored on
several computers or require parallel processing.

For example, Sharper can be used to store 2D images of GIS maps or in volume
rendering systems which visualize 3D data sets acquired by a CT, MRI, or
MicroCT scanner.

Sharper is written in Common Lisp programming language.
