= Registration Administration =

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, *approving
or discarding the registration must be done using the specific Group
Administration
<https://savannah.gnu.org/siteadmin/groupedit.php?group_id=10827> page*,
accessible only to site administrators, effectively *logged as site
administrators* (superuser):

* Group Administration

= Registration Details =

* Name: *Mixp*
* System Name:  *mixp*
* Type: non-GNU software & documentation
* License: GNU General Public License v2 or later (Actually, code is under
GPLv3+. I don't see that in the drop-down menu, however.

Documentation is not yet differentiated from code, but will probably be moving
GFDL before next release.)

----

==== Description: ====
Mixp provides two modules for use by Guile Scheme code: (mixp expat), a
low-level interface to libexpat by James Clark; and (mixp utils), a high-level
set of convenience procedures / abstractions. The package includes
documentation in texinfo format.

Mixp has been tested with Guile 1.4 and 1.8. (Presumably 1.6 would work as
well.) It will eventually work with Guile 2.0, if All Goes Well.

==== Other Software Required: ====
libexpat -- "AS IS" -- http://expat.sourceforge.net
Guile-BAUX (for bootstrap) -- GPLv3+ --
http://www.gnuvola.org/software/guile-baux/
Guile -- LGPL -- http://www.gnu.org/software/guile/

==== Other Comments: ====
I think it would be nice to include Mixp in the official GNU software set, but
it's not pressing. I got permission from the previous maintainer (Dmitry
Morozhnikov) to transfer maintainership just a few days ago. He basically
said "go for it".
