= Registration Administration =
While this item will be useful to track the registration process, *approving
or discarding the registration must be done using the specific Group
Administration
<https://savannah.gnu.org/siteadmin/groupedit.php?group_id=10823> page*,
accessible only to site administrators, effectively *logged as site
administrators* (superuser):

= Registration Details =
* Name: *Octave-Forge*
* System Name: *octforge*
* Type: non-GNU software & documentation
* License: Other (It's mostly GPLv2 or later, but there are other licenses in
the packages. They are almost all free; we're happy to drop the non-free
packages.
For organisational purposes, we would like a separate hg repo per package. Is
it possible to assign many repos to a single project? If not, I would also be
happy to help patch Savannah to do whatever is required to allow this.)

==== Description: ====
This is GNU Octave's sister project for Octave packages. Except for a few
negligible packages, all of the Octave-Forge packages are under a free license
and are mostly GNU compatible (they use the right terminology, etc) but they
don't nececessarily follow GNU coding standards in style.
This has always been hosted on Savannah, but this confuses Octave users who
don't see a separation between Octave and Octave-Forge, and it's practically
the same community that maintains and uses both, so it makes sense to have
them all in one place.

==== Other Comments: ====
We're not uploading a tarball yet, because there really isn't a single
tarball, but rather one per Octave-Forge package.
