==== Description: ====
This project is aimed at providing the software as well as the hardware design
for a free vehicle instrumentation system. The hardware is based on an AVR
8-bit microcontroller, a dot-matrix graphic lcd as well as a gps receiver and
the software currently supports the following features:
* GPS-based true speed display.
* Engine speed tachometer.
* Coolant and environment temperature gauges.
* Odometer as well as three independent trip meters.
* Three independent stop watches.
* Location data and waypoint-based navigational data displays.
* Graphic display of speed as well as linear and lateral acceleration
statistics.
The software was written in C and can be compiled using the free avr-gcc
compiler.
