We want a place where to temporarily develop these software before
uploading it to the official KDE repository. This is because some of
us don't have upload permissions to KDE official repositories and we
don't have a machine where to do this task.
But we don't want to do a fork.

Could it be possible to have a private git (or svn) repository of
kmyfirewall hosted in your machines?

Although our team is packaging this software for debian too,
Kmyfirewall is not a debian specific software.

    August 12th 2010 in GNU Savannah task #10547: "Submission of
    Kmyfirewall".

    Hi.

    I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in GNU Savannah.
    You can reach the rest Savannah hackers (Staff) in this list:
    http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers-public
    <http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers-public>.

    >We are taking on this software as upstream with the upstream author

    >Debian GNU/Linux.

    We need more information with some points:

    How do you want to use savannah?.

    Do you want to host the project here?.  Will it be debian-specific?.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing directly to the
    source code.  Alternatively, you can forward the code to me by email
    or attach it to this tracker.
    We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to
    catch potential legal issues early.
    For example, to release your program properly under the GNU GPL you
    must include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at
    the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than
    10 lines long.  This is explained in
    http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html
    <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html>.  Our review would help
    catch potential omissions such as these.
    Note that sending code to our repositories _is_ a release, since the
    code will then be publicly available through anonymous access.
    Regards and thanks for your interest in free software.
