We aim at replacing F-spot (http://f-spot.org/) application in C++ from
scratch. As F-spot is based on Mono stack which is finding it hard to find a
place in GNU Linux distributions. We aim at providing better integration with
Web and not repeating what is already provided by applications available in
GNOME, rather provide a better interaction with them.

A similar effort GNote (http://live.gnome.org/Gnote) which is a replacement
for replacing tomboy(another widely used mono application).
