Description:
------------

What is it?
Vimplugin is a eclipse plugin that allows to use VIm as editor component
inside the Eclipse IDE.
But why that?
VIm is one of the best editors (to be polite). But it is not an IDE. On the
other hand, Eclipse is the IDE. But its editor is lame in contrast to VIm.
VIm is lean, Eclipse is extensible. So, just take the best of two worlds.
How does it work?
Vimplugin is based on Tip #1031 (thanks to Pavel Tavoda) from vim.org and
relies heavily on JTA, a swing-based java terminal emulator and the SWT_AWT
bridge of Eclipse 3.
Where can I get it?
By now I have developed a very raw prototype tested with Debian Sarge and
Eclipse 3.1. Drop this zip-file into your eclipse directory and run Eclipse.
The binary "vim.org" (that's the one without X-bindings) should be on your
path. By default *.txt files can be opened with VIm using "Open with".
