Sir,

Our project hasn't begun yet. Hence, there is no source code or documentation yet. We are doing the project for the
"Red Hat Scholarships 2005-2006 The Lord of the Code contest"

We have registered our team, and will begin working soon.

We will be using QT/KDE libraries, probably FFMPEG library, RPMLIB, etc. All libraries we will be using will be either GPL softwares, or some other open source licensed ones.

Terms and condition no. 4 of the contest say ...
"All software submitted to the Red Hat Scholarships program will be in the public domain under one of the popular Open Source Licenses such as GPL, LGPL, BSD, etc., so that it can benefit the entire community. The nature of the license will be decided by Red Hat and the advisory board."

I guess regarding legal issues, there wont be any problem giving us permission to host this project on your server.

Kindly grant us access.

Thanks.

Regards,
Anurag Singh Rana.

Follow-up Comment #1:

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

We need a detailed technical description that specifies such requirements as
programming languages and external libraries.
It should be at least one-half a page.

Then please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code.
The description you gave when registering will not be read by the general
public.
If you are still concerned with privacy, however, you can forward the code to
me by email.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch
potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GPL you must include
a copyright notice and
permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.
This is explained in
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html. Our review would help catch
potential omissions such as these.

Regards,
