The Projekt is called "Aeskulap".
Aeskulap is basically a medical image viewer. It is able to load a series of
special images stored in the DICOM format for review. Additionally Aeskulap
is able to query and fetch DICOM images from archive nodes (also called
PACS).
Physicians are using this kind of imaging tools to view images aquired by
medical imaging equipment and to produce a patient diagnosis.
Aeskulap is currently able to to the follwing things:
- query and apply filters to studies stored on archive nodes
- fetch images from archive nodes or the local file system
- view the images
- change the layout of studies and series
- realtime image manipulation (zoom, pan, windowlevels)
- display reference images in a series (projection of image planes in 3D
space)
I'm currently unable to place the tarball in a publically available webspace
(sorry) but will upload the sources to CVS as soon as i get the project
accepted. It would by possible to send the gzipped tarball via email
(~4.4mb).
