Description:
------------
The aim of this project is to provide a general purpose library for playing
secure card games without a trusted third party. My current work is based
mainly on two academic research papers:

1. Christian Schindelhauer: 'A Toolbox for Mental Card Games', Technical
Report, http://citeseer.ist.psu.edu/schindelhauer98toolbox.html, 1998

2. Adam Barnett, Nigel P. Smart: 'Mental Poker Revisited', Cryptography and
Coding 2003, LNCS 2898, pp. 370--383, 2003

The source will be a fork of the already accepted non-GNU project secureskat
(http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/secureskat).

Reasons for the necessity to have an own project:

* The library increases the usability of secure card game protocols for the
Free Software community.

* There are some more applications, e.g. electronic voting with cards or
secure multiparty computation in general:

3. Anton Stiglic: 'Computations with a deck of cards', Theoretical Computer
Science, 259 (1-2), pp. 671--678, 2001

Other Software Required:
------------------------
GNU MP Library (libgmp), version >= 4.1

GNU Crypto Library (libgcrypt), version >= 1.2.0
