URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?109444> Summary: Trying to set up git source repo Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: newguy Submitted on: Wed 10 Jan 2018 09:53:24 PM UTC Category: Source code repositories - developer access Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: address@hidden Operating System: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: I am trying to migrate the SysV init (sysvinit) project from svn to git. I followed the Savannah instructions on using git (https://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/UsingGit/) to set up a local repository and set the origin to the Savannah server. When I try to push my local copy of the repository I get the following error from the Savannah git server: fatal: '/srv/git/sysvinit.git' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: Could not read from remote repository. If I try to clone the remote repository I get the error: "fatal: remote error: access denied or repository not exported: /sysvinit.git" Which makes me think the git directory for the sysvinit project has not been created yet. Could you please let me know how to initialize the git repository on the server, or initialize it for me so I can get started with the svn->git migration? Thank you. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?109444> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
