Follow-up Comment #1:
Basically: no.
git-cvsserver is ok for read-only access, but we never tested it for write
access, the man page indicates it needs non-trivial setup to avoid messing
with authorship information and with the CVS->Git synchro, and generally I
suggest we leave the CVS setup as-is, since it's essentially unmaintained
technology now.
